Dr. Rene U. Pulido, a graduate of Mayo Clinic-Jacksonville Family Residency Program, opened EMED Primary Care and Walk In Clinic in August of 2010 in the St. Nicholas area of Jacksonville, Florida.  Following the footsteps of his Uncle Jesus Pulido, MD and Alex Pulido, MD, Dr. Rene Pulido and his two brothers, Mario and Danny, attended UACA Costa Rica for medical school. Later, while attending the family medicine program at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Pulido learned the value of the “teamwork approach” to patient care. After graduating from the Mayo Clinic program, Dr. Pulido worked in Jacksonville with Solantic Baptist Urgent Care where he honed his urgent care skills. Dr. Rene Pulido’s educational and practical experiences led to the development of Emed Multispecialty Group, also located in the St. Nicholas area of Jacksonville.

A Personal Note:

Dr. Pulido’s family has lived in Jacksonville, Florida since the late 1950’s when his father located to the United States from Cuba. Dr. Rene Pulido attended Assumption grade school and played football for Bishop Kenny High School. What Rene enjoys most about his professional accomplishments is being able to appreciate local growth and community support of establishing the Multispecialty Group in the same neighborhood where he grew up. Many patients are childhood friends and family. He receives great pleasure in working with his two younger brothers on a daily basis to improve the community where his children will grow up.  Dr. Pulido has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Millers Creek Special District since its establishment in 2015.

Danny Pulido

Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL,  Dr. Juan Daniel “Danny” Pulido attended Assumption grade school and Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville before traveling to attend the Universidad de Ciencias Medicas (UCIMED) in San Jose, Costa Rica for both his undergraduate degree and medical degree. Dr. Pulido returned to the States to complete his Residency and Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Florida. Dr. Pulido is board certified in the practice of pulmonary & critical care. He is also trained in the newest advances and technology concerning endobronchial ultrasound as well as navigational bronchoscopy. These procedures can help with early detection of lung cancer, which would provide a better outcome for the patient.

A Personal Note:

Danny’s favorite thing about practicing medicine is being able to help the community where he grew up. When he’s not on the job, he enjoys spending time with his family, boating, traveling, reading, and volunteering as the team physician for high school football games. Danny has been a homeowner and resident of St. Nicholas for 5 years and has served on the Board of Millers Creek Special District since 2015.
